Woozzy and his friends

(Description of a Picture)

By Alexandra,9-th D

It was a cold day of winter. The sun was up in the blue sky, shining over the huge piece of land full of snow. But the penguins couldn’t enjoy that beautiful day, because they had some problems on their head. They weren’t usually cold because they were protected by their shiny yellow, white and black feathers. They looked like they were wearing a tuxedo. But nobody knew why they felt so cold. Another one of their problems was that they didn’t have any food. This didn’t happen very often so they didn’t know what to do.

But, after he heard about that, Woozzy, the smallest of them, decided, without his parents’ permision, to go find food because he wanted to do something nice for everybody, even though nobody was nice to him, since he was a little different. He didn’t have any yellow feathers so everybody made fun of him.

He gathered his three friends and they went on this mission. They somehow managed to sneak out of the group and, because they were the smallest out of everyone, no one noticed them. Though they didn’t have any idea where they were heading to, they just continued to walk, hoping that they could save the life of their families.

So, they travelled around the land to find food. Luckily, they didn’t encounter many dangers, besides the cold, which didn’t feel very good.

But on their way, Woozzy fell into a deep gap, because he was fighting with one of his friends about where the North or South was.  His buddies didn’t even blink and they jumped in the hole to save their best friend. The gap was actually a tunnel and they arrived in that amazing place. They immediately noticed the smell of fish because the water was full of food for them. The four friends remembered that they had been there before, when they were little. Luckily, they remembered their way home so Woozzy and his friends called everybody to that place. All of them were really thankful to Woozzy and they didn’t make fun of him anymore.

house in my life

I consider a house as a very important part of my life. When I go home, I feel protected from all the bad things in the world. But there still is a difference between a ‘house’ and a ‘home’.

When I think about a house, I imagine a building with a roof, a door, windows and so on. But when I say home I think about family and a warm place, because a home is where the heart and family are.

I think that we should cherish our homes, and  protect them as they do with us. We must not take them for granted, because a house and a home is very hard to build, therefore we have to try our best to maintain the ‘health’ of our houses.

In this word, there are a lot of people who don’t have houses so they are forced to live on the streets. I think that we, as a community, should support them by giving them what they need, for example, we could build houses for them. And among those people , there are a lot of children, which, I think, is really sad because they deserve a better life. Unfortunately, not everybody is born with a roof over their head.

Therefore, a house is something that people can’t be happy without, no matter if it’s big or small. As long as they have a place to call ‘HOME’ as well, they are happy.
